Here are some special memories shared by family and friends.
Uncle Mike, we miss you already. You will be in our hearts forever. We love you. -Jennifer
Mike, we spent many years together. I think your happiest moment was Michelle's birth. I still remember that December day!! The Lord only takes the best and you are proof! RIP my friend! Love, Dolores

Mike, I only knew you for a few years, and how I wish it had been longer. You were one of the most gentle and kind people I've ever known, and you will live on in the hearts of your family, friends, and all others lucky enough to be touched by you.
Mike was truly a great person. He always had a smile on his face, no matter what life was throwing at him. I will always remember the years working with him at Academy Street School. He and John were a great team! My heartfelt sympathies to Michelle and the rest of his family, and to Rebecca who was there when Mike needed her most.

Big Mike! The words I write and speak here cannot completely describe my love for you, but I'm sure you're well aware of that. I spent so much of my childhood at Nany's place with you and Poppy. When I was growing up, you were like a second (really cool) father to me. Through your own actions, you helped teach me how to be a good, kind person. When I was sad or disappointed, you always new exactly what to say to get a smile and laugh out of me. I absolutely cherish all of the amazing memories I have of us spending time together. I think of them often. You were the best Uncle that a boy could ever dream of having. I miss you so much already, though I know at this moment you are now watching over all of us. With Great Love, Little Mike.
Little Mike
I have fond memories of Mike when we I taught at Academy Street School. He was always so pleasant and nice and had such a soft voice and way about him. A kind and gentle soul. He and Mr "Taxi" in their "closet" waiting on a call to come and clean something up and always so pleasant about it. I remember when I would come home to Mississippi and bring back a MSU cup how they would make on about it. We had fun keeping up with sports scores as well. I remember his big wide happy smile the day he came to school after his daughter Michelle was born. He was such a proud Daddy. I am so sorry to hear of his death. May God wrap you all in His loving arms at this time and hold you close. Bettie Cummings Retired Teacher
