Son of the late Luis and Justina (Rivera) Burgos, Alfonso had worked many years for the Rongene Mold and Plastic Corp. in Wharton, NJ. He had attended the Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church in Dover.

Survivors include his Partner Ada Del Carmen Lebron, his sons Juan A. and his wife Julia Burgos, Daniel Burgos and his step son Javiel Centeno all of Mine Hill. His daughter Maria S. and her husband Victor Alvarado of Morristown, and step daughter Yesenia Centeno of Mine Hill. Also surviving are Alfonso’s brother Luis F. Burgos, his sister Sol Zoraida Burgos both of Puerto Rico as well as his five grandchildren and one step grandchild.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday December 13, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the Our Lady Queen Of The Most Holy Rosary Church Dover, NJ immediately followed by interment in the Locust Hill Cemetery Dover, NJ.

Visitation will be held Wednesday December 12th from 3-5 and 7-9 PM in the Smith-Taylor-Ruggiero Funeral Home One Baker Ave. (Rt. 46) Dover, NJ.
