Born and raised in Fagaras, Romania, in the heart of Transylvania, Iulian came to the United States with his family when he was a teenager and had lived in Landing before moving to Mine Hill in 2007, after he met and married his wife, Gina.

Mr. Comsulea was an IT Networking Administrator with DSV Air and Sea in Islin, NJ. He enjoyed his job and his work and had great passion in doing things right and establishing great relationships with his colleagues.

Iulian was a devout and active member of the Life-Giving Fountain Romanian Orthodox Church in Long Valley, NJ. He is a founder of the new church building, a Romanian wooden church similar to the ones found in Transylvania Romania and has been instrumental to the life of our community by volunteering in many other church committees and programs.

Iulian is survived by his loving wife Gheorghina “Gina” (nee Staicu), his son Paul Iulian, and his daughter Laura Maria Comsulea. Also surviving are his parents Ioan M. and Maria (nee Fusarau) Comsulea of Landing as well as his sister Iuliana and her husband Vincent Marzo as well as his mother-in-law Maria Cristian.

Visitation will be held Wednesday January 26, 2022 from 3-5 and 7-9 PM in the Smith-Taylor-Ruggiero Funeral Home One Baker Ave. (Rt. 46) Dover, NJ 07801. Funeral Services will be held Thursday January 27, 2022 at 11:30 AM in the Life-Giving Fountain Romanian Orthodox Church #132 Califon Rd. Long Valley, NJ 07853.
