Daughter of the late David and Mildred (Berry) Tanner, Joan was also predeceased by her two brothers; Ray and Russell G. Tanner, as well as her two sisters Ruth Rauh and Margaret Tanner. Joan worked as a Retail Sales Woman at R.S. Strauss of Rockaway, NJ. She is survived by her husband of 18 years, James J. Ferrara of Budd Lake, NJ, one son Roger Fezenko of Kunkletown, PA, two daughters; Donna M. Fentzlaff of Kunkletown, PA and Michelle A. Somma and her husband Tony of Dover, NJ. Mrs. Ferrara is also survived by seven grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 27, 2013 at 8:30PM at the Smith-Taylor-Ruggiero Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 27, 2013 from 3:00-5:00PM and 7:00-8:30PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joan’s honor may be made to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund ocrf.org.
