Frost, Robert Samuel Sr.
Frost, Robert Samuel Sr. age 86 of Independence Township passed away peacefully Tuesday March 22, 2022 at his home following a brief illness. Born and raised in Paterson, NJ, Robert had lived briefly in Garfield before moving to Wharton where he lived with his family for many years. He has resided in Independence Twp since 2010.
Son of the late Samuel and Elizabeth (nee Eicher) Frost, Robert had proudly served in the United States Army during the Post Korean War era. He had a long career with the United States Postal Service, retiring as a Custodian from the Hopatcong Post Office. An avid automobile enthusiast, Robert enjoyed traveling and attending many Auto Shows. A true Country Music fan, he also enjoyed his many trips to Portland Maine to spend time with his in laws.
Robert was predeceased in life by is beloved wife Sally A. (nee Cobb) as well as his cousin Mary Cotton. He is survived by his loving son Robert Samuel Frost Jr. of Independence Twp. and his cherished granddaughters Ella Pearle Frost and Victoria Rose Frost. Also surviving are his cousin Lois Busch of Montville as well as his many in laws in Portland Maine.
Visitation will be held Thursday morning March 31, 2022 from 10 to 11 AM with funeral services beginning at 11 AM in the Smith-Taylor-Ruggiero Funeral Home One Baker Ave. (Rt. 46) Dover, NJ.
