Daughter of the late Alfred and Ellen (Unsworth) Adams, Alice had worked many years for the Mason-Keller Corporation of Roseland, NJ retiring in 1988 as a Factory Supervisor. A parishioner of the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church Mendham, she had also been a parishioner of the St. Lawrence Church in Chester.

She was a member of the Rosary Society, the Legion of Mary and was a Volunteer for the Barn Thrift Shop. Alice was also a member of the Chester Senior Citizens as well as enjoyed playing Mahjong.

Alice was a loving caring person with a great joy for life. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Alice was pre deceased by her beloved husband Roland J. in 1973, as well as a daughter Judith Scolavino in 2006 and a grandson James G. Vadas in 2011.

Survivors include her son Roland J. Jr. and his wife Pam of Los Angeles, CA, her daughter Carolyn and her husband George Vadas of Flanders. Also survived by her brother Alfred and his wife Elsie Adams of Freehold, NJ, her sisters Lorraine Ericson of Spicer Minnesota and Claire Stevens of West Caldwell, NJ, as well as her twelve grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.

A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held Monday November 26th, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the St. Joseph RC Church 6 New Street – Mendham, NJ 07945. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or www.stjude.org.
