Jennings, Gertrude Mae
Gertrude Mae Jennings, age 93 of Dover, NJ went to be with her heavenly father Thursday May 12,2016 with her loving family at her side. Born in Mine Hill, NJ she lived most of her life in Dover, NJ, as a child she lived in Bolyville, North Dover and Victory Gardens. Gerturde was a homemaker, she loved her family dearly. She was like the Energizer Bunny, always moving, she loved traveling, painting and she always had a smile for everyone – she had a zest for life.
She is predeceased by husband Arthur “Roy” Jennings,Sr. February 23, 1980, and her seven brothers and sisters – Raymond Evrey, Reginald Ervey, Charles Young, Hazel Brown, Margarite Cline, Mildred Castaldi, Dorothy Ervey. Survivors include her son Arthur (Butch) L. Jennings, Jr. of Mt. Arlington, and daughters Carol Lee Jennings, of Dover, NJ, Tammy D. D’Agostino and husband John of Labadie, MO., Karen A. Jennings, beloved daughter in law of Morristown, NJ, three grandchildren – Renae Pabis and husband Matt, Sarah Jennings, Christopher D’Agostino. Theree cherished great-grandchildren – Arabella, Oliver and Verena Pabis, many neices and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday May 17, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial to immediately follow at Mill Brook Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday May 16, 2016 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. at the Smith-Taylor-Ruggiero Funeral Home 1 Baker Ave. Dover, N.J.
