Daughter of the late George and Anna (Dubrowski) Secallus, Irene had worked many years for the Rockaway Twp. School District as well as the former Douglas Engineering of Rockaway. A former parishioner of the Saints Peter and Paul Orthodox Church Rockaway, NJ, Mrs. Krouse was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed cooking wonderful meals and the many family gatherings as well as gardening and being a loving homemaker.

Mrs. Krouse was pre deceased by her beloved husband George U. in 1989, her son David G. in 1975 as well as a son in law Robert I. Brooksbank III in 2012. Survivors include her loving daughters Pamela Brooksbank of Toms River, NJ, Linda S, and her husband Michael Fehervari Jr. of Bartonsville, PA and Dawn Keller of Windgap, PA. Also surviving are her grandchildren Vanessa L. Libroia, Eric M. Krouse, Mary I. Courtney, Tara L. Krouse, Ryan and Brandon Keller, Michael Fehervari III and Ivy C. Shorts as well as her great grandchildren Maddy, Justin and Alec Libroia, Lily and Tyler Geiger, Kylie and Kaity Krouse, Julia, McKenzie and Buddy LaBar and Brielle Fehervari.

Funeral services will be held Monday May 1, 2017 at 12:00 PM in the Smith-Taylor-Ruggiero Funeral Home One Baker Ave. (Rte. 46) Dover, N.J. Interment will immediately follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery Randolph, NJ. Visitation will be in the Funeral Home Monday morning from 10 AM till Noon. In lieu of flowers memorials in Irene’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association www.alz.org
