Lazariuk, James. N. age 63 of Rockaway, NJ passed away peacefully Thursday March 21, 2019 at the Morristown Medical Center following a long illness. Born in Montreal Canada, James came to the United States as a child. He grew up in Bridgeport, CT and has resided in Rockaway for many years.
Son of the late Michael and Louise (nee Grise) Lazariuk, James was a graduate of the Notre Dame Boys Catholic High School Bridgeport, CT class of 1973. He later attended Sacred Heart University Bridgeport, CT. Mr. Lazariuk had a long career in the restaurant business, but he was most proud of his many years as the Manager of The Black Horse in Mendham, NJ.
A devout Catholic and parishioner of the Notre Dame of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church Cedar Knolls, NJ he was also an active member and past Chair of the churches Men’s Cornerstone Retreat. James will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his beloved wife of seventeen years Noreen (nee Cassidy) Lazariuk, his daughters Cassidy Lazariuk, Shannon Clogher, Mia and Shante Duffy, his brothers Michael, Scott and David Lazariuk as well as his grandchildren Colton, McKenzie and Dillon Clogher.
A funeral Mass will be held Tuesday March 26, 2019 at 10 AM in the Notre Dame of Mt. Carmel RC Church #75 Ridgefield Ave. Cedar Knolls, NJ 07927. Visitation will be held Monday March 24 from 3-5 and 7-9 PM in the Smith-Taylor-Ruggiero Funeral Home One Baker Ave. (Rt. 46) Dover, NJ.
