Son of the late Joseph P. and Julia (nee Ferko) Melko, Joseph had a long career retiring as a Supervisor with the American Water Co. of Mt. Olive, NJ. An active member of the White Meadow Lake Committee, Joseph loved the lake, landscaping and was an avid fisherman.

Mr. Melko is survived in life by his beloved wife of forty-four years Phyllis (nee Pinck) Melko, his daughter Dawn and her husband Drew Majewski of Succasunna, his sons Benjamin Rosenberg of Wharton and Gary and his wife Janice Rosenberg of Morris Plains. Also surviving are his cherished grandchildren Madison and Emily Rosenberg as well as his sisters Helen Parker, JoAnn McMillan and Terry Smartt all of Milton, Florida.

Private graveside services were held at the convenience of the family.
