A graduate of the Morris Hills High School class of 1987 Dawn was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend to many who enjoyed dancing and frequenting the Spanish Clubs of New York City.

Dawn was predeceased by her adoptive father Daniel Nykyforuk as well as her maternal grandparents Gus and Helen Tishuk. She is survived in life by her sons Christian Mojica and Jonathan “Jojo” Mendez, her fiancé Jamal Robinson, her mother Carol Nykyforuk and her father Nicholas and his wife Connie Bencivengo. Also surviving are her brother Daniel Nykyforuk and her sister Jennifer Marcial, her step brother Nick and her step sister Tina.
