Son of the late Jose Lapaz and Rafaela Urena, Miguel had been a parishioner of Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church Dover, NJ. He had worked many years, retiring as Floor Supervisor for Cord Craft of Dover, NJ.

Miguel was predeceased in life by his sisters Africa LaPaz and Lidia Urena. Survivors include his beloved wife Violeta Jaquez, his daughter Hasse Baerga of Liverpool, NY, and his son Edwin R. Jacquez of Dover, NJ. Also surviving are his grandchildren Juanmiguel Carral and Amaury Carral, his sisters Estela and Estaniela LaPaz as well as his brothers Luis and Domingo LaPaz.
