Kenny R. Morgan, 02 August 1952 to 11 July 2020
Town of Dover – It is with heavy heart that the family of Kenny R. Morgan, announce his passing on 11 July 2020. Kenny, who was full of life fought bravely against many illnesses and eventually lost the battle. He was 67 years old.
Kenny was born in Booneville, Mississippi before moving to Dover, New Jersey with his mother, sister, and aunt when he was 3 years old. He graduated from Dover High School in 1972.
He worked at Howmet Casting in Rockway, New Jersey. He worked in various departments from 1980 to his retirement in 2016. When Howmet received the first water jet machine, he was instrumental with the operations and troubleshooting. He worked very closely with the Manufacturing Manager to resolve what issues arose which occurred on a daily basis. He would walk into the manager’s office and say, “I got a problem” and together they fixed the issue. Those machines functioned because of his skills to keep them running. Most of all, Kenny was a great sport and a wonderful individual to work with, he was liked by his co-
workers and by management and he will truly be missed by many.
Kenny’s greatest love in his life was his children and grandchildren. He had taught them many things to encourage and enhance them though life’s lessons. He valued honesty, to love everyone based on their hearts, and always carry out excellent work ethics. He cherished his children and grandchildren very dearly; they were the light of his eye.
Kenny enjoyed shooting pool/billiards and was a member of American Pool Players Association (APA) for several years as well as in local pool leagues before his health did not permit him to participate any longer. He was recognized with several trophies and patches for his skills in pool. Amongst his various other interests, he was an avid reader, a history buff, especially in American Indian and Celtic heritages and histories. He took great pleasure going to the Renaissance Faire and playing Dungeons and Dragons On-line (DDO). He had a great sense of humor, which sometimes was peppered with a little hint of sarcasm. He loved to tell jokes and the shenanigans of his younger years to make people smile and laugh.
Kenny will be deeply missed by family and friends and never will be forgotten. He was one of a kind to all who was blessed to know him. Kenny is predeceased by his father, Bonard E.
