Nylander, James A. Sr. age 90 of Budd Lake, NJ died Friday April 11, 2014 at the Hackettstown Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. Born in Dover, NJ he grew up there and had lived many years in Wharton, NJ before moving to Budd Lake in 1960.

Son of the late Gustave and Hilda (Lindberg) Nylander, James served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII. Following the war, James attended the Newark School of Engineering. He had worked as a Mechanical Engineer for the John Dusenberry Co. Inc. Randolph for many years until his retirement in 1988.

Mr. Nylander was pre deceased by his siblings Edward Nylander, Marie Polwin, Evelyn Love and Vivian Hornbuckle. Survivors include his beloved wife of 71 years Alice (Traylor) Nylander, his sons Jeffrey D. and his Fiancé Dulce Pinto of Flanders, James A. Nylander Jr. of Bethlehem, PA and Gary A. and his wife Barbara Nylander of South Port, SC. He is also survived by his daughter Judith Bruggenann of Toms River as well as his six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Memorial visitation will be held Wednesday April 16th from 3 to 4 PM immediately followed by Memorial Funeral Services in the Smith-Taylor-Ruggiero Funeral Home One Baker Ave. Dover, NJ. Online memorials may be offered through www.smith-taylor-ruggierofuneralhome.com.
