Ortega, Maria
Ortega, Maria S. age 63 of Dover, NJ died Monday May 30, 2016 at the St. Clare’s Hospital Dover Campus following a long fight with cancer. Born and raised in Deleg, Ecuador, Maria moved to Guayaquil, Ecuador where she raised her family. In 1993 she came to the United States living in Queens, NY and later Dover for the past thirteen years.
Daughter of the late Simon and Zoila (Cambi) Peralta, Maria was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She is survived by her beloved husband of forty six years Jose, her son Jose S. as well as her daughters Carol Ortega, Blanca Cevallos and Nancy Ortega. Also surviving are her grandchildren Arhianna Castro, Jordi Ortega, Nelson Cevallos, Karla Gomez, Emily Cevallos, David Gomez and Nathalie Gomez, as well as her brothers Ignacio, Yofre, Leonardo and Jorgue Peralta and her sisters Mercedes, Sabina, Carmela, Guillermina and Dora Peralta.
A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday June 2, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Sacred Heart RC Church Richards Ave. Dover, NJ. Interment will follow in the Locust Hill Cemetery Dover, NJ. Visitation will be held Wednesday June 1, 2016 from 3-5 and 7-9 PM in the Smith-Taylor-Ruggiero Funeral Home One Baker Ave. (Rt. 46) Dover, NJ.
