Cristina had earned her Associates Degree from the County College of Morris in addition to being a talented artist. She had a wonderful sense of humor as well as being very witty. Cristina enjoyed traveling, especially to Maine and spending time with her family. She never forgot family and friends birthdays, anniversaries and special dates.

Ms. Panei was predeceased in life by her mother Sarah Jane (nee Smith) Panei. Survivors include her beloved son Bruce Downing Jr., her father Ralph Peter Panei, her brother Ralph V. Panei, her sister Maryann Panei and her ex-husband Bruce Downing Sr. Also surviving are her nieces Sara Panei, Brianna and Caitlyn Branch as well as her nephew Robert Branch.
