The daughter of the late Sadie Smith and Henry McConley; She was married at the age of 18 to the late Albert Riker. She then worked on the production line for Thatcher Glass Manufacturing Company, Inc., in Wharton, NJ for approximately 30 years. She retired from there at the age of 62.

​Bernice is survived by her eight children; Albert Riker, Jr. of Armstrong, MO, Jean Anderson of Dover, NJ, Jerry Riker of Cortland, NY, Henry Riker of Moravia, NY, Michael and David Riker of Dover, NJ, Gary Riker of Succasunna, NJ and Danny Riker of Dallas, GA, as well as, her brother, Theodore (Ted) McConley of Mineville, NY. She is survived by 24 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was a kind, generous, and loving person. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

​Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at 10:30AM in the Smith-Taylor-Ruggiero Funeral Home, One Baker Avenue, (Rt. 46), Dover, NJ. Interment will follow in the Restland Memorial Park Deforest Ave. East Hanover, NJ. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday October 21, 2014 from 3:00 – 5:00 and 7:00- 9:00 PM.
