Rodriguez, Antonio age 74 of Dover, NJ passed away peacefully at his home with his loving family at his side Thursday March 18, 2021 following a long illness. Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, he came to the mainland as a young boy and settled in the Ironbound section of Newark, NJ. Antonio had also lived in Lakeland Florida before coming to Dover in 2005.
Son of the late Antonio and Josefina (nee Arocho) Rodriguez, Antonio had worked many years as an Electrician for the Fedway Associates Co. Kearny, NJ. He was a motorcycle enthusiast who enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson. Antonio enjoyed traveling to the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico as well as any beach. A talented handyman, he also enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking and especially grilling. He was compassionate toward animals and loved his pets.
Mr. Rodriguez was predeceased in life by his first wife Marta Rodriguez in 2005. He is survived by his wife Gabriella (nee DelaCruz) Rodriguez, his sons Antonio Jr. and James Rodriguez, his daughters Joyce Rodriguez, Jeanne Rodriguez Yero, and Jennifer Rodriguez, his two stepsons and step daughter. Also surviving are his brother James Rodriguez, his sisters Ramonita Vecchio and Rosa Padilla as well as his eleven grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
