Born in Newark, he loved hanging out with friends on the “corner” and enjoyed having fun with his brothers and sisters. He met his beloved wife, Naomi in Newark and together they moved to Whippany and had their daughter, Marnie. Soon after, they relocated to Mount Tabor. Jerry would reside there for 51 years.

Jerry was a hairdresser for over 30 years and had a cleaning business with his daughter for 27 years.

He enjoyed being with his family. His daughter, Marnie, son-in-law, Rich and his grandchildren, Nickie and Danny were his life. Together the 5 of them did everything together. Some of their most precious memories are from traveling, going out to eat and working together. He loved out west and had a love of history, especially Abraham Lincoln and old Cadillacs. He loved going to New York to see Broadway plays with his family and together they would go to their favorite spots, Puglia and Carmine’s. He loved going to dances as well. He loved playing the lottery, going to the casino, and loved cats. He loved cooking Italian food, especially his famous meatballs, chicken cutlets and Sunday sauce. He was everyone’s beloved “Uncle Jerry”.

He will be sincerely missed and will be loved forever. Until we meet again, and I promise we will.

Visitation will be at the Smith-Taylor-Ruggiero Funeral Home One Baker Ave. Dover, N.J. on Monday March 14, 2022 between the hours of 3-5 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday March 15, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. – St. Mary’s R.C.
