Daughter of the late Earl (Pete) J. and Edith (Bender) Gernert, Jean was a graduate of the Wyomissing High School class of 1952. Ms. Scott proudly served in the US Airforce as an Airman 2nd class during the Korean War. She had retired as a Supervisor from the Eastman-Kodak Corporation of Fairlawn, NJ after a long career. A dedicated volunteer for the Pocono Stroudsburg Medical Center, Jean will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her daughter Linda and her husband Joseph Avenoso of Pompton Lakes, her son Gregory A. and his wife Debra Scott of Hauppauge, Long Island, her grandchildren James Avenoso, Danielle Massad, Jennifer and David Scott as well as her great grandson Connor Massad. Jean was pre deceased by her beloved husband Robert T. Scott in 1992 as well as her brothers William (Bill) and Earl (Tuna) Gernert.

A private memorial service was held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Jean’s memory to the ASPCA Hurricane Relief Efforts in Texas or Florida www.aspca.org.
