Stanchak, Karen E.
Stanchak, Karen E. age 65 of Budd Lake, died peacefully surrounded by loved ones Thursday September 21, 2017 at the Morristown Medical Center. Born in Dover, NJ she grew up in Wharton and had lived many years in Hopatcong before moving to Budd Lake in 2006.
Daughter of the late Elmer and Elsie (Wescott) Mickens, Karen was a graduate of the Morris Hills High School. She had a long and fulfilling career helping others with developmental disabilities as a Group Home Administrator for ARC of Union County. A loving and devoted mother and grandmother, Karen will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Ms. Stanchak is survivied by her husband Michael C., her loving sons Michael C. of Gilbertsville, PA and Matthew L. of Belvidere, NJ as well as her cherished grandchildren Thomas, Jacob, Abigail, Madylin and Emily Stanchak.
Memorial Services will be held Tuesday October 3, 2017 at 12 PM in the Smith-Taylor-Ruggiero Funeral Home One Baker Ave. (Rte. 46) Dover, N.J. Interment will follow in the Berkshire Valley Cemetery #635 Berkshire Valley Rd. Jefferson, NJ. Visitation will be held at the Funeral home one hour prior to the funeral.
