Velez, Iris B. age 72 of Dover died Sunday March 31, 2013 at the Morris View Health Care Center following a long illness. Born in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico, Iris had lived in New York City and Cleveland Ohio for many years before coming to Dover six years ago.
Iris was a Parishioner of the Cleveland Ohio Diocese Roman Catholic Church. She was a Graduate of the Beauty and Cosmetology School of the Bronx, NY in 1980.
Survivors include her Mother Anna R. (Vargas) Velez of Dover, her brothers Jose Velez of Puerto Rico, Albert Velez of Cleveland, OH and Richard Castro of Puerto Rico. Also surviving are her sisters Lucy Luz Potepa of Dover and Margie A. Castro of Cleveland, OH.
A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday April 4th, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church Richards Ave. Dover, NJ.
Visitation will be held Wednesday April 3rd 2013 from 3-5 and 7-9 PM in the Smith-Taylor-Ruggiero Funeral Home One Baker Ave. Dover, NJ.
