James was predeceased by his beloved wife of 42 years, Susan V. Ward (Sutton) as well as his brothers William (Bill) Ward & John (Jack) Ward.

James was a graduate of Roxbury High School and a long time member of the Acacia Lodge in Dover, NJ. James worked many years for JCP&L as a Linemen & Chief. Upon retirement he & his wife Susan retired to Starrucca Pennsylvania. James was an avid outdoorsman & enjoyed gardening and antique hunting with his wife.

James is survived by his 3 children; daughter Jennifer Ward and longtime partner Joe Brzezowski of Hackettstown NJ, son James Ward and his wife Kristie Ward (Cairo) of Succasunna NJ and son Brian Ward and wife Laurie Ward (Savage) of Lower Berkshire Valley, NJ. As well as his 5 grandchildren; Julia, Brandon, Benjamin, Jacob and Brielle.

Private cremation services are being arranged by Smith-Taylor-Ruggiero Funeral Home. The family is respecting his request, there will be no public service.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Parkinson’s Foundation @ Parkinson.org/donate/Tribute Gift in his memory.
